Dear Terry,
I suspect you realize I was given an assignment sometime towards the end of “The Novel, Live!” by our friend Thomas: “this freshman on the team, he is a great guy and he is smart enough to do English and I want him to do it–so encourage him, work with him.” He was right, and you have thrived, well beyond our initial tutelage, too. Of course the lessons were meantto be reciprocal too: coming out of spring break, I had several home games in mind (Syracuse, UNC, Marquette!) once the weather got warm enough for me, to watch mid-field done right. I am saddened, then, at so much of so many senior springs lost, including spring seasons, including yours.
