Margaux Paolino

Faculty Remarks:

Margaux, I know you as a student in my Shakespeare Now and Then class.  There you have been quiet, but thoughtful and engaged, disciplined too.  I am so glad you decided to study English Literature while you were here.  I had no idea that you were an athlete of truly international stature, and that you have been studying Shakespeare side by side with a brilliant sporting career.  You took a class which was demanding and worked hard in all you did.  Then you had your final term disrupted by COVID-19.  I admire you deeply for your courage on the field and your discipline on and off it.  We spent so much time discussing tears of joy in class, the ones that ended so many of our “winter’s tales.”  I wish you much joy and happiness and feel sure you will put your wonderful energy to the best of uses.  – Sarah Beckwith
