Faculty Remarks:

I have always thought that the most original and creative intelligences emerge from habitus movements, intellectual shape-shifting, cross-disciplinary interrogations–and plain old friendships with the Other.  Ye Ol’ Ordinary Jackson with a “c,” Prince of L.A. though he be, crossed the country to be with us, but you, beginning in that seat next to him and taking all the teasing with grace, launched yourself onto journeys at least as large, volleying back the interrogations (so much fun to call on youze) with clarity, then irony, ultimately wisdom.  An adept reader, a trusted actor—and, by this spring, in the classroom, both at the same time.  What is the major going to be without you?
