Science at all levels—from astrophysics to political science—is invaluable for decision-making. Without shifting State Department culture to be more scientific, American diplomacy will struggle to absorb the hard-won evidence our scientists provide. Diplomacy should not only leverage more science, it must become more scientific itself”
