Dr. Brianna Elliot earned her Ph.D. in Marine Science and Conservation from the Duke Nicholas School of the Environment in 2025. Her research is focused on diplomacy and conservation biology related to international fisheries and the management of living marine resources on the high seas. She has worked for the U.S. Department of State, Office of Marine Conservation and the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration covering a range of multilateral and unilateral approaches to fisheries and marine mammal management. Brianna’s work with RDP focuses on Ocean Diplomacy.
