- Mindful Moment and Mindful Movement – Join these 15-minute online group session every Tuesday at 2 PM and Thursday at 10 AM, respectively, to practice mindfulness, gentle movement, and breathing techniques to relax.
- Mini Mental Makeover – Join this 30-minute online group session to slow down, reflect, and grow in gratitude. Sessions are every second Wednesday of the month at 12 PM.
- Success over Stress – Learn skills to manage stress and understand stressors in your life through self-paced modules.
Fitness Opportunities
- Run/Walk Club – Join other Duke employees in the Run/Walk club to gain support and coaching to reach your fitness goals by walking, running, or a combination of both. Earn LIVE FOR LIFE dollars when you complete 10 sessions!
- Monday Moves – Make the most of your lunch break with Monday Moves! Join the virtual session every Monday from 12:30-12:50pm for gentle movements you can do at your workspace.
- Fitness Consultations – Whether you are beginning to be active or want more advanced training, fitness consultations can help you determine an exercise program that will motivate you to accomplish your goals.
- Wellbeats – With Wellbeats, complete workouts, practice yoga, or take a mindfulness break with an on-demand fitness provider for $5 per month.
- Duke Fitness Club – Get a discounted gym membership in facilities throughout central North Carolina.
- Get Moving Challenge – Make a team with your coworkers and inspire each other to achieve your health goals with the Get Moving Challenge, Duke’s annual wellness competition.
- Festive Fit Focus – Earn LIVE FOR LIFE dollars by challenging yourself to maintain or even shed weight during the holidays when it’s often more difficult to eat healthy foods and fit in exercise.
Health Screening, Coaching, and Education
- Health Coaching – LIVE FOR LIFE coaches work 1 on 1 with you to achieve a higher level of physical and emotional well-being, especially in areas where making change is hard. Enroll in this free 12-week program to discover solutions and strategies for implementing meaningful changes.
- Health Matters Webinars – Health Matters is a live video series focused on a fresh topic with practical advice related to nutrition, fitness, and mental health. Sessions are every third Monday of the month at 12 PM. On-demand webinars are also available for playback.
- Bariatric Surgery Coaching – LIVE FOR LIFE will work with you for at least 3 months prior to your procedure and will continue to support you with lifestyle changes throughout the following year. The program requirements must be completed no more than 6 months prior to the date of surgery.
- Tobacco Cessation – Are you, or someone you love, ready to use less tobacco or quit using tobacco? Receive ongoing support over a year-long period from a tobacco treatment specialist.
Nutrition Opportunities
- Nutrition Consultations – Duke employees working 8 hours or more per week can meet with a Registered Dietitian twice per calendar year, free of charge.
