Karan Mehta received BS. Degrees from UCLA in Physics and Electrical Engineering in 2010, and completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT in 2017, with support from a DOE Science Graduate Fellowship. Since 2017 he has been an ETH postdoctoral fellow and subsequently senior scientist in the Physics department at ETH Zurich. His current research interests include trapped-ion quantum systems, their interface with scalable solid-state control, and integrated optics.
