Research Plan
We are investigating small molecule activators of a mitochondrial protease ClpP for effects in cancer cells and neurological disease. This involves multiomics analyses of cellular responses including proteomics, transcriptomics and metabolomics. We aim to better understand the mechanism of action of these novel compounds in brain cell model systems.
