This is such an interesting project! I had never heard of Activate Good before, but it sounds like a wonderful organization doing really important work in the Durham community.
In my experience, a strong disconnect exists between Duke and the surrounding Durham community, even with recent efforts to strengthen this relationship. Many students know very little about the issues plaguing Durham residents, as most of us live in a relatively isolated bubble of wealth and privilege.
I am curious if this organization routinely does any work with Duke students, or if there would be a way to expand their reach to more people in the Duke community.

Super exciting project! Given that refugee communities are at higher risk of marginalization as you mention, what are some of the ways that us, as Duke students, can address the issue locally? Are you aware of any organizations/groups in Durham that work directly with refugee communities?
What a fascinating organisation and amazing project. I would be very keen to learn more about how Duke and its students can help raise awareness for the issue and help in tangible ways as well.
Hey Despina! Thanks for the informative poster. What solution to the cultural displacement problem do you find most compelling? Should the government invest in more housing to avoid gentrification or is there a better solution? I loved your poster—thanks again!
This is such a timely project and I am glad to always see your commitment to our local community and area. Keep Up!
