Ahmed Salat Birik completed completed a 12-week internship at the UNHCR working on human rights issues relevant to persons of concern to the UNHCR. During the internship, he was able to engage with human rights mechanisms used by the United Nations to promote the effective use of human rights as advocacy and complementary protection tool in all areas of UNHCR’s work.
