Doctor of Physical Therapy Students & Faculty Participate in Adaptive Sports Experience

On Saturday, March 19, Duke University students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant programs participated in an Adaptive Sports Experience at the Brodie Recreation Center to learn about opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to play team and individual sports.

One hundred and sixty-two students, in collaboration with staff and athletes from the Durham-based non-profit organization Bridge II Sports, had the opportunity to participate in wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, blind boccia ball, and hand cycling.
