The purpose of the Muslim Employee Resource Group is to foster a diverse, inclusive, and safe place aligned with Duke’s mission and values. We are committed to creating an environment that gives employees the chance to celebrate our diversity, beliefs, culture, and authenticity within the Duke community.

The Muslim Employee Resource Group will create a platform for other Muslim employees and allies as an opportunity to unite and empower each other. We will work to address Islamophobia and other prejudices by establishing and upholding the positive and caring culture that Islam teaches.

Our mission is to empower Muslim employees and allies at Duke through professional development, networking, and community engagement and create a positive culture reflective of Islamic principles that fosters understanding and unity within the community.
