Carol Bu
carol.bu@duke.edu
Third Year PhD Student (2023 - Present)
Carol is working on perfluorinated thiol-yne polymerization tuning water and gas permeability of the biocompatible and degradable barrier polymer. She obtained her B.S. in chemistry from Geogia Institute of Technology (2022), where she worked with Dr. Will Gutekunst on ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of levoglucosenone and twisted amides. Outside of lab, Carol enjoys traveling, cooking, playing badminton, and playing the violin.
