Who we are

Welcome! This is Marsha’s Home, a Living Learning Community focused on connecting members of the Duke LGBTQIA+ community and allies to create a safe space for exploration, curiosity and engagement. We aim to support queer leaders and cultivate their individual and collective strengths, to center intersectional identities along with queer and trans joy, and to build non-cis/heteronormative ways of being.

We live in Craven House T, located in the inner courtyard of Craven Quad. It’s a cozy nook close enough to Main Quad, but secluded enough that you can study on one of the many tables outside or walk to Bella Union in just a few minutes. Recruitment for our LLC opens in November, so make sure to follow us on Instagram and bookmark this website to stay posted.

As part of the LLC, all members are required to take the corresponding House Course, a half-credit, pass-fail course titled Queer Representation in Contemporary Media. This course is typically taught in the Spring, so existing members should keep an eye out.
