“Dark” Screening

Join us on Tuesday, March 15th at 6:45 PM in Languages 114 for a screening of “Dark” S1E1. Dark is a German science fiction thriller show streamed on Netflix.

In the aftermath of a child’s disappearance, Dark follows characters from the fictional German town of Winden as they pursue the truth. They follow connections between four estranged families to unravel a sinister time travel conspiracy which spans several generations.

Translanguaging

Join us for an event in multiple languages with Spanish and French students on Tuesday, February 22nd from 5-6 PM. This event will be in-person in Languages 114. All FL students are welcome. We hope to see you there!

The event is organized in collaboration with Professor Liliana Paredes (Spanish) and Sandra Valnes Quammen (French).

Language Learning and Disability Book Club

Calling all foreign language instructors! Join the Duke Language Central on Friday, February 25th at 5:00 PM for our online Book Club. The theme is “Language Learning and Disability”.

We are going to discuss the first chapter of Disability and World Language Learning: Inclusive Teaching for Diverse Learners by Sally Scott and Wade Edwards (Rowman & Littlefield Publishers, 2018).
