Reduce Stress and Anxiety

One of the body’s reactions to anxiety and stress is muscle tension.  These can cause you to feel tense, have muscle aches and pains, or feel really tired.  Muscle relaxation can help you lower stress and feel better.

One way to lower muscle tension is by using progressive muscle relaxation.  To do progressive muscle relaxation, you tense up different muscle groups and then relax them. Another way to lower muscle tension is by using pleasant imagery or lovingkindness meditation.
