Meet our 2025 Co-directors:
Adwoa Baffoe-Bonnie
Adwoa is a third-year MD student from Ghana who grew up in Tampa, FL. She graduated with a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and spent one gap year conducting high-risk pregnancy research before starting medical school at Duke. She is passionate about pursuing a career in obstetrics and gynecology, with a special interest in maternal-fetal medicine. Dedicated to uplifting the next generation of diverse healthcare professionals, Adwoa previously served as co-director for HPREP’s 2024 cohort. Beyond medicine, Adwoa enjoys creative pursuits like acrylic painting and photography.
Muhamed Sanneh
Muhamed is a first-year MD student who spent his early years living on the “Smiling Coast” of Africa in a small village in The Gambia. He moved to Madison, WI when he was eight and eventually graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology. During his gap years, Muhamed lived in South Korea, teaching English, and gained experience in clinical research focused on Alzheimer’s disease. His professional interests include working in underserved communities, specifically through mentorship and outreach, to bridge the gap between communities and the institutions that impact their health. He also loves playing soccer, biking, and going on spontaneous travel adventures.
