The Health and Environment Scholars Program @Duke (HESP) brings together an inclusive, diverse community of Durham Public Schools high school students to explore interdisciplinary environmental science and health subjects alongside trained Duke undergraduate mentors. Focusing on students from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM, HESP provides the experiences, relationships, and resources to develop the next generation of scholars and leaders.
