Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cancer Discovery and Translation

Currently accepting applications for postdoctoral training in an exciting translational training program

Sanford Burnham Prebys is a preeminent, independent biomedical research institute dedicated to understanding human biology and disease, and advancing scientific discoveries to profoundly impact human health. The goal of this program is to train the next generation of leaders in cancer discovery, drug discovery, and biomarker development.

This training program will provide the skills needed to execute a successful cancer discovery program using novel paradigms and state-of-the-art technologies. Participants will be provided a solid platform from which to pursue their future cancer-focused careers. In addition to scientific training, participants of this program will take part in a formal curriculum of education and training activities, gaining skills in leadership and management, grant and manuscript writing, and oral presentations.

Salary Starts at $62,400 with Comprehensive Benefits

· Must be US Citizen, US National, or Permanent Resident

· No more than 1-year prior NSRA funded support

· Must have PhD or MD at time of appointment (Approaching graduates are welcome to apply)

· No more than 3 years since terminal degree

Drug Discovery and Collaborative Multidisciplinary Science: Located on our San Diego, California Campus, in the largest academic and industry life science hub in the US, the Cancer Center is partnered with the Conrad Prebys Center for Chemical Genomics, a leading nonprofit drug discovery enterprise. The Cancer Center is also one of seven (7) multidisciplinary centers with access to ten (10) shared resource cores providing technical and experimental expertise.
