The Purpose Project at Duke is seeking a Teaching Assistant for spring 2022 to facilitate discussions and grade student assignment for the Common Experience course for first-years, which is part of the What Now? Network. The What Now? Network offers a cluster of first-year seminars that engage students in questions of purpose, meaning, and what it means to lead a good life. In addition to participating in a seminar taught by a Duke faculty member, students also take the What Now? Common Experience course, which offers them the opportunity to engage with faculty and fellow students in reflective conversations and activities about topics related to cultivating one’s purpose and various aspects of well-being.
