Join the Office of Community Engagement and Inclusion with Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and DuWell with Duke Student Affairs for a conversation with the CEO of NAMI* (National Alliance on Mental Illness), Dan Gillison, on Tuesday, December 8th from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m.
In this fireside chat, Dan will cover topics around mental health and mental health conditions, NAMI initiatives dedicated to decreasing stigma and increasing awareness, and ways to support the mental health of members of the Duke community, particularly those that are part of marginalized communities.
Dan will also discuss the necessity for leaders to create an inclusive environment in which mental health is a priority. He will do a deep dive into the importance of providing the tools and support employees need (and what those tools and support look like) to thrive in their professional and personal lives.
