Hello, I’m Jamie Palmer and am currently on staff at Duke University in the Office of Information Technology. Returning to college to pursue my master’s degree has been a long-time goal and I’m thrilled to be here. My background is in theater, producing and directing plays in Dallas, Texas for many years. After a move to North Carolina, I’ve focused my attention on playwriting, having shows produced locally. Travel is a passion of mine. A few of my favorite spots are Crete and anywhere on the coast of Ireland. I am more of a rocky beach person, but I would never pass up a tropical breeze. My son and I have spent summers travelling to see games at Major League Baseball parks around the country. I’m an avid reader, love to spend time with my husband and son, and watch just enough junk television to feel okay about it.
