Reason I choose this spot to record is because I felt it represented academic life on Duke campus. As you listen to the recording you hear me listening to a podcast while am doing work, but then hear me communicate with a fellow classmate through my computer. Listening to the sound you can tell that covid has changed academics at Duke. Before covid if I wanted to hear a podcast before class or after. I’ll have to wait until I walked through campus until I got to my room. Which would had made the recording so much different because I would probably hear people conversation as I walk by, hear the sounds of the wind as am walking, or even hear the duke buses. Also, the reason I choose this picture is because I felt that this represented duke academic life during covid as it has become many people one stop shop. This show where people now study, where they go to class, and where they eat during covid.
