One of our goals with DUMS is to give students the opportunity to get practice giving talks. You don’t need to have done research to give a talk: most of our talks are expository. Even if you’re just getting started with the math major, you can give a talk: don’t count yourself out just because you don’t have “advanced” material. If you want to give a talk but don’t have an idea for a topic, fill out the form below anyway or send an email to Havish Shirumalla (havish.shirumalla@duke.edu). If you’re interested in giving a talk at a DUMS meeting, please fill out the form below and we’ll reach out to you.
