Debbie Taylor is the Director of Children’s Programs for the Duke Children’s Hospital development team where she is responsible for strategic development, community engagement, communications, donor stewardship and annual giving.  After a long career in college coaching, Debbie moved to Durham in 2013 and began working as a college basketball and lacrosse broadcast analyst before joining the Duke Cancer Network team.  Upon graduation from The College of William & Mary, she spent nine years as a high school teacher and coach in Richmond, VA.  In 1995 she began her collegiate coaching career as an assistant at West Virginia University and followed that with a stint at The University of South Carolina.  Debbie spent the next 14 years as the head women’s basketball coach at the College of William & Mary.  Debbie is currently pursuing her M. Ed. in Training and Development at NC State.  She is a Long Island native who enjoys running, cycling, traveling, playing the piano, and reading in her spare time.
