Use Case #1 – Infra-Test #1: Dept‐to‐Dept via Campus Core
This use case leverages spanning campus VRFs between sites to avoid transit of packets to the interchange layer (for VRF to VRF transitions) along with avoiding passing traffic through the Tipping Point Intrusion Protection System (IPS) which in addition to inspecting the flows has been shown to fall over when traffic levels exceed 1 Gbps.
