General: Information and Orientation

Hours:

Front desk and office staff are present 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday.  We ask that clinical staff complete work and leave by 6 PM to allow security to finish their shift, which is 7 AM to 6 PM.

PLEASE NOTE!! Clinic visit times are expected to be 15 minutes after the scheduled time, allowing time for rooming procedures. 8:15 am visits on your schedule are expected to start with the provider by 8:30.

Location and Parking: The DOC is located on the second floor of the Duke Health North Durham building on 4220 N Roxboro Rd. Enter through the front door and exit through the side door. Parking is free. Please park at the side or back of the building so that patients can park in the front.

“Teal Side, Lavender Side and the Twins”

You will hear people refer to the sides of the clinic by the color of the countertops!! Low numbers (1-11) are on Lavender side, and Teal numbers (12-20 are on the Top). Twenty-two and Twenty-three are the Twins

What to wear:

We adhere to the DHIP Dress Code (see below).  All clothing (including uniforms) should be of a professional nature. Attire should be neat, clean, wrinklefree and should fit appropriately. The employee is responsible for keeping all attire in good condition. Employees should select clothing to be worn on the job that is professional.  Footwear must be safe. Athletic shoes are permitted per departmental policy. Bare feet or flip-flops are not permitted anywhere in the hospital/clinic.
