Dynamics of wet granular 'gas bubbles'
The snapshots show the stationary states of wet granular ‘gas bubbles’ with the red circle marking the location of a cylindrical intruder inside the container. For the cases shown in the lower panel, there exists an angle of ~90 degrees between the liquid-gas boundary line and the intruder. What can we learn from this effective ‘contact angle’?
