Pantao dahui 蟠桃大會 [The Flat Peach Banquet], in Chinese mythologies, is a big banquet where gods and deities assemble to celebrate the birthday of Queen Mother of the West. The food they eat, pantao 蟠桃 [flat peach], is said to be planted in Queen Mother of the West’s garden and has the magical ability to prolong one’s life. Peaches in general are a symbol of longevity and well looked-up birthday gift for elders.
