Jingwei 經緯 [warp and weft]

The original Chinese text is jingwei 經緯 [warp and weft]. It is commonly used in the context of weaving and textile production. In the process of weaving, which involves creating fabric by interlacing threads, the warp and weft play distinct roles. The warp refers to the set of parallel yarns that are held taut on a loom during the weaving process. On the other hand, the weft refers to the yarn that is interlaced with the warp yarns horizontally during weaving. Here the warp and weft are indicating how literature and military supplement each other.
