I believe that the most creative, rigorous, and exciting science comes from a diverse and inclusive team of mentors and mentees with a strong communal investment in the success of its other members. I particularly intend to foster a warm, supportive, communicative, and fun environment in which team members feel empowered to tackle big, difficult questions.
Research at all levels is a challenging endeavor. My goal is for this to be a place where lab members are unencumbered in the pursuit of their ambitions. To that end, as the principal investigator, I am always available to help. You can expect me to provide ideas, guidance, advice, constructive feedback, and funding to support your success.
A contract outlining clear expectations for our Mentor-Mentee relationship will be provided to prospective lab members.
