Ed Discussion

Ed Discussion is the online forum we use in this class for questions, answers, and discussions. If you opt to use Ed, please adhere to these rules:

  • Avoid posting your own solutions publicly for other students
  • Check if someone has already posted a similar question
  • Use an informative title when posting a question to assist others
  • Be specific in your questions

Office Hours

Guidelines

  • Instructor office hours should be used for addressing conceptual and high-level questions.
  • TA office hours should be used for addressing programming-related questions (excluding debugging) or moderate conceptual questions.

Note: These guidelines are subject to change at any time.

Schedule

Office hours will start Tuesday, January 16th and end Tuesday, April 23rd. Office hours will not be held during university holidays (e.g. spring break).

Communicating with the Instructors

We encourage students to consult the course syllabus, Canvas announcements, and Ed Discussion posts before reaching out to the instructors. This practice minimizes redundancy and streamlines the communication process. Additionally, please consider assisting fellow students by answering their questions when you have the knowledge to provide timely help. For inquiries of a personal nature, such as those related to emergencies, course grades, or other private matters, feel free to contact the teaching associate and/or instructor via email. Please allow a window of 24-48 hours for the instructors to respond.
