The Neon Bible 2020

Written and directed by Morghan Cyr and Jessica Sullivan

In this episode of “INSERT TITLE HERE,” we’re going to be talking about the movie “the Neon Bible.” This 1995 movie, from British director Terence Davies, follows David, a boy in the rural South, as a 10- and 15-year old during World War II. Confined to the cultural norms of his small, Southern town, David finds comfort in his Aunt Mae, the only stable adult figure in his life. David comes to age through a series of memories that reflect the culture of his surroundings. In this podcast, we try to figure out if this movie has a deeper meaning, or if it’s just bad.
