Welcome

Welcome to Path to Portfolio (P2P), an opportunity for enhanced professional training associated with the Ph.D. in Chemistry at Duke University.  The goal of P2P is to create a diverse set of Ph.D. degreed chemists who have the knowledge and skills necessary for teaching and research positions of the twenty-first century.  P2P is a 2015–2018 Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) program that provides competitive fellowship support that allows GAANN P2P Fellows to pursue a portfolio of training opportunities, enriching the intense research experience obtained in their Ph.D.  These portfolio experiences will include, but are not limited to, supervised teaching experiences that provide a differential professional preparation experience.

For details on the current application cycle, see “How to Apply” in the menu bar, or check out details about the Fellowship, current and past Fellows, and examples of program activities.

We gratefully acknowledge support for this program provided by the US Department of Education, with additional support from the Duke Graduate School and Trinity College of Arts and Sciences.
