About Us

The Certified Executive Administrative Professionals designation program was unveiled by Duke Learning and Organization Development in 2017 to address the continuing education needs of administrative professionals at Duke. The program consists of 64 hours of instruction and accompanying course work based on the Star Achievement Series by Joan Burge. The CEAP program provides the necessary skills needed to assess and fulfill administrative needs, provide intuitive executive support, enhance efficiency, and cultivate a positive office culture.

Following the graduation for the first cohort of CEAP designees, the CEAP Network was founded in July 2018 to provide a platform for CEAP designees to network, share resources across the university and health system,  practice new skills, and continue to develop professionally. Since the founding of the network, 3 additional cohorts have been designated as Certified Executive Administrative Professionals. The network currently serves over 100 administrative professionals at Duke.
