Dr. Crawley is a retired Family Medicine physician who worked on the Navajo Indian Reservation and a retired Professor of the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics. Her work focused on health disparities in palliative and end-of-life care in multi-ethnic and multicultural populations, and she was Principal Investigator on six research studies examining the effects of race and ethnicity in care, trust in patient-physician relationships, and end of life education. She also held a three-year appointment as an Ethics Advisor for the CDC. Dr. Crawley is a professed Third Order Franciscan Secular and has worked as a Palliative Care Chaplain for the last 10 years and a Certified Chaplain Educator for three years.
