Reverend Dr. Harris is an ordained Minister in the American Baptist Church, USA, and serves as senior pastor of Newborn Community of Faith Church. His research at CLF focuses on how health messages are communicated to faith-based communities, with an interest in how food systems are discussed within religious texts. Reverend Dr. Harris’ current work is with the Food Policy Network—and is supported by the Kellogg Foundation—where he explores how faith groups eat and how their diets affect their health and the environment. He has also worked in the South Sudan, where he wrote a curriculum that used Bible passages to convey health messages.
