Dr. Volandes is an Internist and is an internationally recognized expert on the use of video decision support tools, decision science, and ethics. He leads a group of innovators and video artists, who create and study short, easy-to-understand videos for patients and their families to aid in medical decision-making. Dr. Volandes holds a joint appointment in the Department of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and is co-founder of ACP Decisions, a non-profit organization devoted to encouraging end of life conversations and patient empowerment. His work is featured in major publications and national media, and he is the author of, The Conversation: A Revolutionary Plan for End-of-Life Care.
