Ms. Young has over 20 years of progressive research and clinical experience in best care practices for the elderly and their health, happiness, and inclusion in society. Following graduate school, she developed the African Americans in Gerontology (AAIG) network, a national non-profit organization providing guidance and professional development opportunities to African American professionals and students in the field of Gerontology. Ms. Young serves on the Board of the Colorado Office of Public Guardianship, which provides guardianship services for indigent and incapacitated adults when other guardianship possibilities are exhausted. In January 2024, she will start her Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) residency in hospice chaplaincy.
