This two-day conference brings together a group of specialists from Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Myanmar, Taiwan, Thailand, and the U.S. whose expertise converges on the ethnic minorities inhabiting the China-Southeast Asia border regions.

This event, held in the Carpenter Conference Room (249 Rubenstein Library), on Duke’s West Campus, is made possible by a generous grant from the Luce Foundation with additional support from the Divinity School and the Asian/Pacific Studies Institute of Duke University.
