Dr. Wray received his B.S. in Biology from the College of William and Mary and his Ph.D. from Duke University. His postdoctoral training was conducted in the laboratories of Dr. Rudy Raff at Indiana University and Dr. Richard Strathmann at the University of Washington. He joined the faculty of the Department of Ecology and Evolution at Stony Brook University in 1993. He returned to Duke 1999 as faculty member in the Department of Biology. He also has a secondary appointment in the Department of Evolutionary Anthropology. In 2014 Dr. Wray was appointed Director of Duke’s Center for Genomic and Computational Biology.
