Paper in Cell Metabolism (2/2019)
Congratulations to Kevin, Abby, and their colleagues on the publication of a study in Cell Metabolism that provides the first detailed map of the interface between metabolic and apoptotic regulation. This work identified numerous chemosensitizing metabolic pathways, including heme biosynthesis, which may also have important prognostic significance. Congrats, guys!

Congrats to Wood lab alum and current Brown University Assistant Professor Lorin Crawford, who was named to the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for his pioneering work to meld genomics with new statistical methods. Congrats, Lorin!

Congratulations to Yi and our colleagues in the Wang lab at Duke on the publication of a study in Nature Communications that identifies the metabolic enzyme transaldolase as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in HER2 positive breast cancers with intrinsic resistance to HER2 blockade.

Paper in Nature Communications (8/2018)
Congratulations to Ryan and his collaborators in the Wood lab on the publication of a study in Nature Communications that reveals the first landscape view of BCL-2 family dependencies in human cancers. This work has yielded new insights into how to use BCL-2 family inhibitors to target apoptosis in specific tumor subsets. Well done, Ryan!
