Casey Byrne
Co-President
Casey Byrne grew up in Arlington, Virginia. She graduated from Notre Dame in 2020. Before law school, Casey worked as a paralegal at the DOJ. Here at Duke, Casey is on Moot Court Board, Mock Trial Board, Duke Law Journal, and is a Duke Bar Association 2L Rep. This past summer, Casey worked at the SEC, and after graduation, she plans on working in litigation in D.C. This year, she is most looking forward to the BLSA x WLSA SEC panel.
Christina Moss
Co-President
Christina Moss grew up in Houston, Texas. She graduated from American University in 2018 with a degree in Political Science and Government. Before law school, Christina worked in various roles, including as a Children’s Law Center investigator. At Duke, Christina is involved in Duke Law Journal, If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice, and OWLs. This past summer, Christina worked as a U.S. District Court extern, and after graduation Christina plans to practice litigation in San Francisco. In her free time, Christina enjoys cooking, playing soccer, and snuggling with her cat, Chica.
Arielle Roos
Executive Vice President
Arielle Roos grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She graduated from UMass Amherst in 2021 with degrees in Banking and Corporate Finance. Before law school, Arielle worked as a corporate analyst. At Duke, Arielle is involved in Guardian ad Litem, Jewish Law Students Association, Business Law Society, and the Law and Entrepreneurship Society. This past summer, Arielle worked at a law firm, and she plans on practicing transactional law in Chicago after law school. This year, Arielle is looking forward to WLSA workout classes.
Jaylin Small
Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Jaylin Small grew up in Conyers, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2023 with a degree in Political Science. At Duke, Jaylin is involved with Black Law Students Association and Womxn of Color Collective. This past summer, Jaylin worked at Legal Aid. Jaylin plans to practice transactional law in New York after graduation. Jaylin’s favorite part of WLSA is the community.
Emily Bass
Vice President of Finance
Emily Bass grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut. She graduated from Bates College in 2021 with a degree in Political Science and Government. Before law school, Emily worked as a teacher. At Duke, she is in Duke Law Journal, Duke Bar Association, Durham County Courts Guardian ad Litem, and First Generation Professionals. This summer, Emily worked as an intern at NYPL, and after graduation, she plans on practicing litigation in New York. In her free time, she enjoys teaching spin classes and playing guitar.
Frances Choi
Vice President of Mentorship
Frances Choi is from Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Harvard University in 2021 with a degree in History of Science/Classics. She also obtained her MS in Secondary Education from Saint Joseph’s University. Before law school, she worked as a teacher. At Duke, Frances is president of the Federalist Society and is on Duke Law Journal. This past summer, Frances worked as a judicial intern at the D.C. District Court. After graduation, she plans on practicing litigation and governmental regulation in D.C. This year, Frances is most looking forward to being a mentor for the 1Ls.
Rachel Reardon
Vice President of Career Development
Rachel Reardon is from Nashua, New Hampshire. She graduated from Villanova University in 2023 with degrees in Political Science and English. At Duke, Rachel is a member of Duke Law Journal, Transactional Law Society, Innocence Project, and Coalition Against Gendered Violence. This past summer, Rachel was an intern at the New Hampshire District Court, and after graduation, Rachel plans to practice transactional law in New York. This year, Rachel is looking forward to planning the Baker Botts Mock Interview program.
Jordan Waldmann
Vice President of Communications
Jordan Waldmann is from New Iberia, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2023 with a degree in Biochemistry. At Duke, Jordan is on Duke Law Journal. This past summer, Jordan worked at a law firm, and after graduation, she plans to practice regulatory law in D.C. In her free time, Jordan enjoys “grandma activities” (knitting, sewing, baking, etc.).
Maeve Millen
Co-Vice President of Special Events
Maeve grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from Colgate University in 2021 with degrees in English and Spanish. Before law school, Maeve worked as a litigation paralegal. At Duke, Maeve is involved in National Lawyers Guild and If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice. This past summer, Maeve worked at the NYC Department of Social Services, and after law school, she plans to practice litigation in New York. Maeve is specifically looking forward to the WLSA golf tutorial event this year!
Izzi Tallerico
Co-Vice President of Special Events
Izzi Tallerico grew up in Kentfield, California. She graduated from University of Miami in 2022 with a degree in psychology. At Duke, Izzi is a member of California Club and Run Club. This past summer, Izzi worked at a personal injury firm. In her free time, Izzi enjoys hiking, running, and trying new restaurants with friends.
Danielle Movitz
2L Events Chair
Danielle Movitz grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Tulane University in 2022 with a degree in Political Science and Government. At Duke, Danielle is co-president of the Jewish Law Students Association. This past summer, Danielle worked at the SEC, and after graduation, Danielle plans on practicing litigation and regulatory work in D.C. Danielle’s favorite part of WLSA is that she is able to connect with female law students from every class.
Amanda Seifferth
2L Representative
Amanda Seifferth is from Dublin, Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2022 with degrees in Public Health and Sociology. Before law school, she worked as a legal recruiter. This past summer, Amanda worked at a law firm, and after graduation, she plans on practicing transactional law in New York. Amanda’s favorite part of WLSA is getting to know her fellow board members and all other members of the organization.
Kate Wozniak
3L Representative
Kate Wozniak grew up in Chantilly, Virginia. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2022 with degrees in Public Policy & Leadership and Sociology. At Duke, Kate is on both Duke Law Journal and Moot Court Board. Last summer, Kate worked at Hogan Lovells in D.C., and she plans to return full time after graduation. This year, Kate is most looking forward to the Motherhood in Big Law Panel.
Sarah Edwards
3L Representative
Sarah Edwards is from Mentor, OH. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 2022 with degrees in Psychology and Comparative Religion. At Duke, Sarah is a member of the Alaska Law Review and the Duke Law Lifting Club. Last summer, Sarah worked at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York, and after graduation, Sarah intends to practice law in New York City. This semester, Sarah is studying abroad in Copenhagen.
