I’m a PhD student in history at Duke University, specializing in modern European, African, and global history. I’m interested in a range of issues, including the histories of empire and decolonization; health, medicine, and humanitarianism; race and migration; and ethics and religion. My work draws on archival research and oral histories, and it engages with scholarship in anthropology, public policy, visual culture, and media studies.
