Sexism in the Media

This portion of the Media Coverage section of the 2015 Women’s World Cup Guide will examine the prevalence and modes of sexism in the media ahead of the tournament.  One article will compare the relative popularity of two American strikers, Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan, and the different ways they portray themselves and the different ways they’re portrayed in the media.  Another will examine the popularity of the United States men’s national soccer team to the U.S. women’s national team.  A third article will discuss the overall television coverage, and previous lack thereof, of the event.
