Croatia Manager

Zlatko Dalíc

After the sacking of Ante Cacíc in 2017, Zlatko Dalíc became the 13th manager of the Croatian national team, all of whom have been Croats themselves. Dalíc’s employment occured after paltry defeats in qualifying to Iceland and Turkey, and a particularly frustrating draw with lowly Finland. With one qualifier remaining, the new boss led his side to crucial victory in hostile Ukraine, which they followed up with a deciding play-off disposal of Greece, earning a bid to Russia. Dalíc was quickly seen as a savior of sorts, a former journeyman manager in Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E. With a bevy of key players in their 30’s, Croatian supporters are hoping for the strong showing that Dalíc’s men are absolutely suited to deliver.
