The 2016 Copa America is one that will go down in history. Not only does this tournament signify a massive effort of soccer competition, but it marks the 100th year since the tournament’s inception in 1916. This year’s tournament is a bit expanded, and remarkably, will take place in the United States.
Playing host to this famous tournament that has never taken place outside of South America, the United States will step up to the challenge as matches kickoff around the country beginning in June. As such, this tournament should be full of excitement and controversy. In particular, three key points should set this tournament apart from the perspective of the fans:
