“CLIR: Collaborative Approaches to Modeling the Past in 3D/VR: The Interdisciplinary Lab Model for Teaching, Research, and Public Outreach” for CLIR in OK

I make my first visit to Oklahoma in early March, where I participated in the CLIR 3D/VR Symposium. It was a wonderful opportunity to hear from a disparate range of speakers thinking about 3D/VR in higher ed. My talk was kind of meta, “Collaborative Approaches to Modeling the Past in 3D/VR: The Interdisciplinary Lab Model for Teaching, Research, and Public Outreach,” while others dug deeper into specific projects and practices.

One of the best parts was dinner with the brilliant team of CLIR Postdocs. I already knew they were a great group from my experience with our own CLIR postdoc, Ed Triplett, who has now joined our faculty as a Lecturing Fellow, but this just confirmed my sense of the strength and value of the program!
