Hello! My name is Derek Chen and I’m a sophomore studying Economics with a minor in Computer Science and a certificate in Decision Sciences. I’m specifically interested in behavioral economics, so if you’re into that, definitely hit me up!
I’m originally from Castle Pines, Colorado, a suburb just 30 minutes south of Denver, and am excited to be in Durham. Outside of class, I’m involved with the Duke Chronicle, Duke Impact Investing Group, and the Unconscious Consumer Psychology lab. When I’m not procrastinating, studying, or listening to J Cole and Travis Scott, I love playing/watching basketball, getting carried by Christian McCaffrey in fantasy football, eating at Asian fusion restaurants, and hiking!
