Welcome to the Duke Teen and Young Adult Oncology program website. This website is dedicated to the needs of patients and their families. Teen and young adult (TYA) or adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients have little that they can call their own. This is why this website is meant to best support TYA oncology patients and families through their experience with cancer at Duke.
The Duke Teen and Young Adult Oncology program and Teen Cancer America (TCA) have a shared mission to improve quality of life and outcomes for teens and young adults with cancer;
to support those affected by their cancer; and to provide access to the best age-appropriate care and support.
Through the support of TCA, the Duke Teen and young Adult Oncology program has been able to create new services and elevate the existing program.
***As part of COVID-19 preparedness, the Young Adult Social Meet Up below has been canceled until further notice.
We have partnered with UNC to coordinate a young adult social meet up the 2 Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM.
You are welcome to bring a friend.

New Art Cart!
Many thanks for the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF) who donated Alicia’s Art Cart to the Duke Teen and Young Adult Oncology Program.
The cart is for teens and young adults with cancer and will be used both inpatient and outpatient in group and one to one settings with Geoffrey Vaughn, our medical family therapist and art therapist.
